Well, we are back from leading our “Be My Valentine” weekend retreat/workshop, and I am filled with a great feeling of love and connection. We had a great group of people at our favorite venue, Buckland Hall in Wales. As usuallu happens, I learn things from leading workshops. I’d love you to read more to see if what I learned could be helpful to you and your relationships.

I am continually amazed at how much I learn from leading a workshop. When we are facilitating, we are “teaching” people how to have deeper, more loving connection in their lives and relationships - more intimacy in the most complete sense of the word. Yet, I always experience that in the act of teaching others I am also reminded of how important making special time for ourselves is. Just like most everyone else, Priya and I can get so busy that we forget to put a priority on our own relationship. It is something we must not forget to do for ourselves.

As we led the workshop, I thought that describing some of the different exercises would make interesting posts here, so watch for little tips for creating, maintaining - even reigniting - relationships. We will also be using some of the exercises as topics for more in-depth articles in our regular newsletter. (If you aren’t yet receiving our newsletter, you can subscribe here: http://intimacyworks.com/signup.htm. )

I know that many couples on the weekend had wonderful - and growthful - experiences. If any of you read this, I hope some of you will comment on your experiences here, so others can get an idea of what they could possibly gain from attending one of our events.

If any of you reading this want to know more about the weekend, you can ask a question here, and we will respond.

Also, I am curious, does going away for a residential weekend that focuses on intimacy in couples relationships feel a bit intimidating to any of you?

We hope to hear from you.

Namaste. Bob

I’m excited! Priya and I have been invited to give a talk about Intimacy at the Alternatives Programme at St. James church in London. And that’s not all. We will also be leading a one-day workshop for them in October.

So why am I so excited about that? Because I love having the chance to share with people some of our thoughts, beliefs, and practical tools to help them have more loving connection in all of their relationships. And this will be a great opportunity to do so.

Also, I love talking. …..I mean “teaching”. Well, I love both. I get a huge feeling of satisfaction in conveying to others the things that help make my life - specifically my relationships - rich and full and loving and fun and tender and ……… I could go on and on. I love how well my life works around my relationships with others, and I want others to feel that too. (And, there is always something more for me to learn and work on myself.)

But back to “Alternatives”. Their programme of talks and workshops reaches out to many more people than we have had contact with before. And that both scares and excites me. I look at the people who have been past speakers and I feel honoured and humbled by being added to that group.

I hope there are some of you who live in or near London and can come hear us.

I’m curious, have any of you heard of Alternatives?

That’s all for now.

Namaste, Bob
